A national registration study into children with COVID-19 who present themselves at hospital in the Netherlands, where they may or may not need to be admitted for secondary or tertiary care.

A national registration study into COVID-19 in children
The COPP-study is a nation-wide multicenter hospital-based prospective cohort study on pediatric COVID-19 and COVID-19 associated Multi-system Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C).

Children can be included by their pediatricians if they fulfill the following inclusion criteria:
- Age 0-17 years
- Presentation in Dutch hospital (in- or outpatient) participating in our study
- Evidence of current SARS-CoV-infection and/or MIS-C
- Informed consent by patient and/or caregiver

FOR PARENTS/CHILDREN: PARTICIPATE IN OUR STUDY
What does it mean to participate in the COPP-study?
- We would like to collect clinical data about the course of COVID-19 or MIS-C in children. This information is collected by your treating pediatrician and entered into a secure database, without identifying information. The researchers of the COPP-study only have access to the anonymous clinical data.
- The clinical data includes presenting symptoms, prior history, laboratory values during illness and course of illness.
- If you want, you can sign up to get a follow-up questionnaire so we can see how children with COVID-19 or MIS-C are doing a few weeks after hospital discharge.
- If you want to participate in our follow-up study a few months later, you can sign up for this as well.
